In Jan. 2006, the Sec. of State announced major changes in the U.S. govt.'s process for managing foreign assistance programs. To support State and USAID planning, budgeting, and reporting of foreign assistance under these reforms, State developed two new data info. systems, the Foreign Assistance Coordination and Tracking System (FACTS) and FACTS Info. FACTS is a database used to collect foreign assistance planning and reporting data. FACTS Info is a system used to aggregate, analyze, and report data on U.S. foreign assistance programs.
